Born in 1988, Hoël Duret lives and works in Paris and Rennes. He graduated from the Ecole des Beaux-arts de Nantes in 2011. His work has been exhibited in France at the Centre Georges Pompidou, the Fondation Louis Vuitton, the Palais de Tokyo, the CAPC, the Palais Garnier – Opéra de Paris, the FRAC des Pays de la Loire, Galerie Edouard Manet and CREDAC as well as abroad at Yishu 8, Beijing, China, Seoul Art Museum, Korea, MUDAM, Luxembourg, Palazzo Strozzi, Florence, Italy, Palazzo delle Stelline, Milan, Italy, Tel Aviv Art Museum, Israel, Ford Theatres, L. A., USA and at the Martos Gallery, L.A., USA. He is currently preparing a solo exhibition at the Villa Merkel in Esslingen, Germany for which he has produced a new film in New Zealand in the spring of 2020. He is co-director of the production company PanoramaRoad which has been producing stage designs for contemporary dance and theater since 2008.
